Boudin by Jamison and it's not even close

Jamison makes solid boudin, which has a unique flavor. The rice/meat mixture is meaty, loaded with green onions, and moist. You can taste a roux based stock in the boudin which resembles a rich gumbo. I applaud Jamison for perfecting his recipe and providing the NOLA area with a great product. I grew up in the Crescent City (70’s - 80’s) and the only boudin & cracklins found were brought in by oilfield salesmen and families from Lafayette.

This is the correct #1, followed by Karchners. Everything else doesn’t matter to me.

Once you are west of the Duson exit they use too much rice.

Have you or anyone else eaten their vacuumed seasoned ribeye's?? I'm debating whether to get the seasoned or unseasoned.

I have not tried all your list, but Don's in Carenco has the best boudin I have ever eaten; and, I have sampled many.

Don's has more meat than any other boudin and is spicy but not hot. Almost every time I drive up I49 to north Louisiana I buy their boudin.

My wife used to live in lafayette (no pics) and always raved about dons and best stop boudin. A few months back I got 2 lbs from each place on my way home from offshore. Dons was slightly better but i'd rather eat ramon noodles than either of those.. Never again. I threw that shite in the trash and went to gillis meat market for some good boudin.

The boudin balls from Billy's in krotz springs are way better than the other 2 locations.

To the guy who said Bourgeois in Thibodaux that is just not true. I had better boudin from Walmart.

Yeah their boudin isn't good.

Adding Chop's in Broussard. Theirs is legit.

Also NuNus and Cajun Market Meats.

My vote goes to Juneau's Cajun Meats in Marksville, La. across from the Paragon Casino on La. 1.

Best I've had from that area for sure and everyone I gave some to so they could try it loved it.

This is in CENLA, so a bit off the beaten path.
