The Rantards don’t want him because he wants to coach for Bianco. It isn’t anything more than that.

Let me help you since you can’t figure out how to post pics

How in the frick is saying he’s only coached 2 years at a high school moving goal posts?

You said
quote:

He’s coached before and wants to do it.

I clarified that it was at the high school level

If he had coached at the college level & had success more people would be onboard with the idea

lol.

There's been an ongoing joke on the Rant about bringing back players to coach. It would be a joke to have Ben coach pitching and Walker or Theriot coach hitting. None of them have shown the ability to actually coach college players or the ability or passion to recruit the way you have to. In fact, the one closest to coaching college kids is Theriot and he's been a Will Safford defender all year. Are any of these people the kind of coaches anyone should want?!? In a serious world, no.

There's a good chance he said it as a compliment to how good our hitters returning can be and that anyone should want to coach them... and then people ran with it as if he actually wants the job.

His players at Calvary Baptist couldn’t stand him as a coach from what I hear

My concern with Walker as hitting coach without coaching at this level is you hear that great players don't always make great coaches because they have a hard time understanding why less talented people can't do or see what they do.

For what its worth when he coached high school, I knew people who played for him and said he was probably one of the worst coaches they ever had.

It is pretty funny that everybody was blowing Paul when retiring then days later all the Skip guys are basically shitting on him and blaming him for distancing them from the program.

Love that the insanity Rantards have has led us to the point where they’re shitting on Todd Walker. Shameful just shameful.

It's been a story repeated by many posters. And for a fan base that gives the man a lot of love that's pretty damn telling of the kind of coach he is. There's no way anyone with a brain would want him coaching LSU with his background where he has never coached this age group and has zero ties in recruiting. Same goes for Ben who has zero background in coaching baseball (only softball actually). Anyone who supports it can be written off as ever having a valid opinion about baseball... or sports for that matter.

Can we just get back to the Sonic in the outfield? I mean at least the burgers, FF and chicken tenders will be better than what we have now. Can we make concessions great again??

Todd Walker is my favorite LSU player of all time in any sport. I said this when I first heard the news. That doesn't mean I'm blinded into thinking he would be a good coach.
