I don’t really care about the house or the stuff in it. I’m worried about the pain in the arse that comes with it.

Bingo, having done this twice already this is the truth. The stuff is just stuff and can be replaced.

A house can be fixed but getting there and the insurance, red tape, contractors etc. is a the worst part.

I'm not doing the gutting etc. anymore. I've done that before and screw that.

I have a close friend that lives in Killian near the Make Em Wet Marina. So far everything is fine with them.

Duke and rds need a raise. They gave us the outline 5 days ago of what to expect. Amazing that modern minds and technology can give us such a heads up. Frick our state leaders and the media for not giving the people what they needed to get prepared fully for this. Unfortunately a lot of lives have been changed for the worse in this. This track has really shown if your anywhere in the cone before landfall, you have a chance of getting fricked sideways or not getting anything at all. shite even Gulfport area is getting it harder than BR and those immediately west

sure it will take a long time to restore 100% of power but again, it cannot and should not take that long to restore a transmission line. If it is that important major resources will be dedicated to fixing that.
NO WAY it takes a month

I have no idea how long it'll take but you're probably not talking about 1 line. It's probably 10+ with the tower supporting several tons of weight. You can't just put a temp pole up or lay this shite on the ground...or worse yet, across the river

East of ponchatoula in bedico.

I cant imagine Springfield right now.

My sister in robert has roof damage with water coming in but shes north of the interstate.

How are things there? My in laws stayed in Bedico Trace and I think they are regretting it.

I saw 68 mph sustained earlier in that area. Should be slowing down. Probably gusts up to 90-100.

They flooded in 2016 and so far nothing eventful as far as flooding goes. They live right on the Tickfaw.

Wondering this as well. Earlier the news said worst of it would be from 11-2 but I’m not seeing that on radar but maybe I’m just misinterpreting things. Still getting gusts but they seem to be less frequent.

Entergy map was inaccurate about outages after Laura. They showed Graywood and the Prien Lake Mall with power for substantial time even though power was out. It was an error.

Same thing could be happening here.
