Big Lake this weekend

Birds all over. Mostly small trout Went couple weekends back and water was pretty. Plenty on the reefs. It’s October my favorite month for big lake

Depending on the wind, I will probably end up in the marsh since I’m kayak fishing.

I fished Sunday and Monday this week. We caught our limit Monday chasing birds throwing artificial. All small trout, tons of sandies and 2 30 lb bull reds that were chasing the trout. We ended up grinding out a limit of tail pinchers.

We tried drifting other areas but really didn't have any luck if we weren't under the birds. The majority of the birds were in the middle to West side of the lake south of Commissary point.

A lot of people headed to the grand bayou weir and looked like they had some luck fishing live shrimp but they were catching a lot of trash fish. We drifted outside the weir for a little bit and picked up a couple, then went after birds.

One of the guys that works for me went out this morning. They limited out before 11am

We spent whole week there and had some great days and few slow ones

Tons of bull reds
Tons of Jacks
sharks
few Spanish Mackerel
and the most Snot Rockets I ever caught
Weather was perfect during the week
