Can you trade Sol/USD directly in Binance? Make sure it's not a problem with the exchange itself instead of 3Commas.

Also, you might want to check with 3commas support (that button in the lower right). They're pretty good.

I can. This morning I cancelled the deal in 3commas and then manually sold it in Binance but definitely something strange going on, there’s a small Sol balance that I can’t seem to sell.

I posted on their discord but I will try the support button. Thanks.

I’ve increased my comp to 8 deals from 5 without any more funding ?? just to see what happens. I left all the rest the same. I haven’t gotten deeper than 6 safety orders in 2 days so far.

That shouldn't make any difference unless your coins tank further, triggering the extra available SOs. It's good though because it will help DCA those coins if they do go down rather than just digging the hole deeper to get out. That's where I effed up.

ETA: not having funds to cover only comes into play if it actually goes deep enough to trigger all of the SOs. It will just tell you there was an error in processing the buy, nothing bad. The downside is it is continuing to drop but you are no longer DCAing - meaning the hole is going to start to get deeper. You'll need to see a bigger rally to get up to the tp and make the sale.

mach316,
thank you very much for starting this thread.
I'm a newbie in this regard, but jumped right in.
I have a coinbase pro account and opened an advance 3comma account.
I put in $1000 and here are my settings:

DCA bot, long
BTC/USD pair
base order size: 100
safety order size: 100
start order type : limit<---should I change this to market?
take profit % 1.25 (percentage from total volume)
no stop loss
max safety trade count: 20
max active safety trade count: 1<----should I raise this?
price deviation: 2.5%
safety volume order scale: 1.05
safety order step scale: 1

so I have 2 bots now, and not much is happening for the past 2 days.

help me out with some suggestions? all decisions will be my own.

how much is in your account to make $300/day? I'm happy with $30/day

I'm not the expert here by any means but I think the secret to success here is volume in either trade size or traded pairs. Since you are targeting such small percentage gains, you want to ramp up volume. I'd prefer scaling out over scaling up as you have more opportunity to catch pairs that are running rather than stagnating or falling. Also your loss is less if you do happen to catch a falling knife even if all your SO trigger. 20 SO at $10/20 each is a lot different than $100 each. 2 pairs at $50 each is the same as 5 pairs at $20 each but with less risk in my opinion.

Hey Brutus, been away from the computer all day trying to catch some fish lol. Your settings look fine, but IMO I would try to add more bots at a lower base and safety order. If the market was pumping, you may get lucky and pick the 2 that are pushing higher, but with the market trading sideways, you may get more action from multiple bots running.

I would definitely use limit orders, and keep the max active safety trade at 1. If you haven’t watched the original Trade Alts video, I would strongly suggest that you do. I relied heavily on him to set this thing up.

Gains won’t get ya to retirement any time soon, but it will give you consistent gains every day. Just use those gains to add more bots. That’s what I am doing. Hopefully I won’t have to work as hard as I do now, and have more time for fishing!

Which pairs are you trading with?

Also, I would increase the number of bots. With $1,000 I had 18 running (although I wasn't completely covered).

The only other thing I would add is I noted your BO and SO are the same. All the guidance I see is that your SO should be 50 to 100% higher than your BO to maximize the DCA when the coins dip. Either lower your BO to $50 or raise your SO to 150.

Not the best day with my bots, but was able to squeeze out $157. Not too bad getting paid while I fish! Hopefully tomorrow will be better. Would like to see what everyone else is making on a daily basis.

Yesterday and today were both $0 profit earned. My Binance account balance is currently down $1.42 total. All of my coins are tanked 3-12% except for BTC which is only down 1%. If it weren't for $8 earned on Wednesday and Thursday I would be way in the hole.

I'm going to try to hold out for my worst two to pump them remove them from the bot and modify my settings some for the 3 remaining more stable ones and see if I can get something going.

I haven't closed a deal since Thursday night.

Today I only made 17 dollars, yesterday 55 dollars. Most of my bots were stuck in a single trade today. One bot filled all 20 safety orders and I manually added funds 4 times to dca. Really need that bot to finish the trade. It has 33% of my capitol locked up.

Hang in there TF99. Looks like Bitcoin is trying to make a move atm. Maybe some of your bots will clear

About $21 for me today, but I'm working with a much smaller account. I'll take it if it means an extra $600/month.

I added more high volume bots and zapped some non-movers so I'm hoping for improvements. I had to take small losses on unfilled orders but I think it's worth it.

Thanks for the tip on KRL. I'm gonna pass on LCX since its volume is too low.

I got mine set up today, and realized Coinbase is not the place to use. Maker taker fees are .50%/.50% so you have to profit 1% before your take profit amount even starts. Tomorrow might transfer some to FTx. Fees are .02%/.07%

Edit: never mind FTX not available in US

I’m using kucoin, if you buy a small amount of KCS, you can pay the fees in KCS for .08/.08. As you trade volume goes up that rate goes down. Also they won’t 1099 you
