I read the book about 25 years ago, and while I thought that it was just an OK novel, I can see it making a pretty good mini=series, as long as it's well done. The main characters in the book go through some pretty big transitions, so that bodes well for a six part series.
But, I fully expect Wokeism to ruin the series.

If they try to make any of the characters sympathetic (i.e. McCoy in the Bonfire of the Vanities movie), this will fail. Unfortunately it also looks like it'll be set in present-day Atlanta and not late-90s Atlanta, which means no Freaknik scene.
