What we must understand is that there is NO WAY that all of the internal combustion vehicles in the US can be exchanged 1 for 1 with EVs. There will NEVER be enough power generation capacity in the US to accomplish this, especially when fossil fuels are being drastically reduced as a form of energy production. The only way to transition to EVs is to have FAR fewer automobiles, that are allowed to be driven FAR fewer miles per month/year. In other words, the goal is to drastically reduce our freedom of movement/travel, and force more people to live in cities where they will rely on public transportation and can be more readily controlled.
