Do you cook it directly on, or wrap it in tin foil?

I cook it in the husk, then take it out to char it a little. No idea if this is the correct way.

Out the husk, straight on the grill over high heat, brush melted butter and turn every couple of minutes. Simple and easy.

Thanks! I’ve always wrapped in foil with salt, pepper and butter. Might try directly next time.

I've done both, and it depends on what I'm doing with the fire. I like it a little charred vs. a bit steamed in the husk, but if you slather with flavor mess, it'll stay on a bit better in the husk. I have found that grilling it with less crap on it and applying flavors later after we cut it off into a bowl (I hate eating it off the cob) results in more flavors.

Dehusked, coat in olive oil or butter, grilled direct turning often to brown evenly. Plate the corn and coat in butter and whatever else you like. Then serve.

I strip all but one layer of husk and then onto the grill.

Sometimes I'll soak it for a few house in heavily salted water while still in most of the husk and then drop it on the grill.

Most times I'll shuck it and hit it with a bit of olive oil so my seasonings will stick and grill it like that. I like it both ways, but prefer it done the 2nd way.

Melted butter = melted butter, lime juice, salt and pepper. This is the way.

Either way, but find myself most often wrapping in foil with butter, salt, and a little rosemary
