First try at corn this year. Popped up quick but now starting to yellow. I’m soaking it every morning and it gets plenty of sun but I can’t figure out why it’s turning yellow. Perhaps too much water?

Possibly too much water and needing Nitrogen fertilizer.

Must side dress with ammonia sulfate 21-0-0 fertilizer.

Corn is a heavy nitrogen feeder, take the advice about side dressing. Also, corn isn't a great addition to a garden. Full ears require heavy pollination, and multiple rows leads to better pollination.

From what I have been told, corn is better planted in a series of rows vs a single row, as it promotes better pollination and also the stalk getts the benefit of stabilization from multiple rows.

I sucm at growing corn though, so take it with a grain if salt.

A single row??? If so, even if the plants do well growing, don't expect much, if any corn. Corn plants do well to put out 2 ears of corn per plant, that is why it should be planted close in the row with multiple rows to benefit from pollination and support as it grows tall.

When corn is in season, it's so cheap to buy at the market that I see no need to take up garden space growing it.
