Well we learned a valuable lesson that you jump on positions of need in the initial portal period, because when the spring portal opens teams will be desperate and overpay for lesser talent.

I don't think we even had Bo on board when the first portal opened so that put us in a difficult spot.

Find a Claude Wroten out in the swamps and get him in over the summer.

i am sure that LSU has some sort of structure for NIL expenditures. It would have been ridiculous to pay big money have to guys who really have not been anything close to approaching elite status.

I dunno....you can't publicly come out as a head coach and say DT is what you are only pursuing and whiff on the top 2 Dt available imo...unless his hands are tied in the situation which I believe they are but as a head coach if you need and want a guy you should be able to tell you administration to go get who you want/need but I Also don't think Williams was worth $1.5 mill

You think there's just some magic money spigot in the TAF that provides limitless dollars?

I'm sure this holds some truth but I wonder, how do we explain the payments to HS kids that have done absolutely nothing let alone approach being elite? Some making more than current starters. Wheres the concern with egos there? Sounds good but really doesnt hold water. We missed and now the spin narrative has been unleashed.

What, you mean like an Underwood or Perkins?

It's easy. They are wildly incredible talents in high school and they're likely to contribute heavily if not immediately start at the next level.

This doesn't compare to a guy like Dominic Williams, who is something like the 23rd overall defensive lineman in the portal in 2024, and has faded into oblivion any time he's faced actual competition.

If you overspend on talent in the portal then what do you think recruits will do moving forward? If you set the minimum now, it only goes up from there. Look at our coaching salaries…

You think LSU is the only one setting these prices. It doesn’t matter if we keep our prices low if everyone else keeps raising them. We will just keep missing out. You have to find some balance.

He came to LSU at the tail end of a model that worked for us. The new model doesn’t. It isn’t his fault, honestly.

BK has been one of the coaches that seems to be more forthcoming about positives and negatives on the team than most coaches

When I saw the content (question) of the post, I thought for sure it was posted by one of the regular idiot on tRant, but I was wrong, it was an idiot on the LSU R board.

Why is using transgender a pejorative to you? Furthermore, what's wrong with the protest?

If it's a protest in support of a terrorist organization then there's plenty of reason to talk negatively about it.

What world is this where people are actually in favor of genocide

BK doesnt need to spin anything ,he`s one of the best coaches in the
country.Whats wrong with sticking to his plan,20 wins in 2 years
considering what he took over is a great record.Of course I`m not thing
emotionally like most on these sites.

He verbalized his plan of getting DTs.

Not sure why there are so many posters that lash out if anyone is curious on:

1. Why we didn’t get a DT yet.
2. What is the plan going forward to land two or three.
3. What is the current NIL situation

They become dumb when they're asked incessantly when it's clear that nobody here has any hint of an answer.
