On3 Story

He set his commitment date for May 12th.

quote:

LSU: “It was an unofficial visit. The atmosphere was crazy. The fanbase was crazy. A lot of the people there were welcoming so that’s really good to have around you. I’ve known coach Kaine for a minute. He’s been the one keeping in contact with me. It’s been good. He checks in on me every week, in school, off the court and on the court.”

quote:

Moving forward, the 6-foot-6 small forward out of Oak Ridge (FL) will consider Ohio State, Houston, South Carolina, LSU, Kansas, and Providence.

Providence is considered the favorite.
On3 has him ranked 18th in the class.

Would be a nice close to the recruiting cycle, and McMahon's highest ranked recruit at LSU, but it is hard to see him signing with LSU given the roster. You have multiple guys in that will be looking for minutes at the wing spot (Ward, V. Miller, Carter, Bailey)

He is a 2025 recruit, meaning he would sign in November and attend LSU in about 14 months. Carter and Bailey would be gone and Ward would be a senior.

It would be a great start to the class, and would pair nicely with the 6'10" 230 pound center out of New Orleans. We would have a nice frosh / soph core of
C: Miller. 6'11"
PF: Cenac. 6'10"
SF: Jones. 6'6"
SG: Vyctorius. 6'5"
PG: Givens. 6'3"

Reading his comments on each school it sounds like it’s down to Providence and LSU. Good to see LSU is making such a strong impression on a kid that highly regarded.

Yeah, you have to get in the running for the blue chips before you land them. Plus this is a little bump to counter the 50 billion threads about the d-line. They should know about not landing recruits right now.

He chose Providence. At least not a direct rival. Still time before signing day in November.

Yes. The 2024 class is done and early signing day for 2025 is in November.

Picking up Victorius Miller was lucky as he asked out of his letter to Oregon. That class was basically over.
