Anyone know what A&M has for today?

I would really like to see Hurd do something good today. I’m sure we will see him at some point this afternoon. This dude is a Dog and just needs to get his Mojo back.

Aschenbeck has been the top bullpen arm. He has pitched twice on numerous SEC wknds.. but we got a good look at him l/n

They still got Chris Cortes as a former starter coming out of the pen pumping 100+

If they pitch Cortes he would only last a couple innings

This is where hurd/ack/coleman step up in a big situation. It has happened before....and this time there is no pressure we already won the series. I'm expecting a good performance.

I say start Hurd and see if he can get you through 9 batters. Then go from there if Ack is healthy enough see if he can get you 3 innings. Moffett, Anderson, Johnson, and Coleman. Loer, Ulloa if needed.

Tell me they are out of lefties, as it’s been one after the other, so far..

They went from having Rob Childress as HC to Yeskie as pitching coach. They’re not out of lefties.

This is just a guess, but the difference between Hurd starting and coming out the pen seems like a mental thing. Almost like when he knows he is starting he has too much time to get in his own head, and when he comes out the pen he doesn’t have time to think about shite, so he just comes out and shoves. I’m pretty sure his last 3 outings have been pretty good. I would almost take the same approach as last Sunday and throw someone that can get us through the lineup once and then turn it over to Hurd.

But I also wouldn’t mind seeing Hurd get the start and be back to Omaha Hurd either!

He threw 33 pitches yesterday. I doubt they roll him out today unless it’s for a save in the 9th for a batter or two.
