Big sweep, I have a feeling if LSU gets into a regional

they will go on a Cinderella post season run not seen since 2022 Ole Miss. Last in to Nat’l Champs! Call me crazy, but it just seems like everything is coming together.

Why? 2 vs 3 means very little unless we are talking about the host of a super for an unseeded (top 16) team.

Hurd could be huge. I have to believe he will gain confidence knowing how well he performed in post season last year.

If you're the two, your game 1 against the 3 is easier. As a 3, you may have to face a team who just missed hosting in game 1.
I get that they are all tough games in the postseason but matchup luck matters in the ncaat.

well things have changed since coming into the weekend. No way this team doesn't deserve to be in the tourney they are definitely one of the top 30 teams in baseball. On top of that, if Hurd regains his form, this team can make it to Omaha. What a turnaround.....a bad throw away from going 11-5 last half of sec season....vs 3-12 first half. Yes competition was weaker second half, but this team is totally different and playing good ball and getting better weekly.

There is no way in hell LSU does not make a regional. Win regional and super regional and on to Omaha. Not as far fetched as it once was.

Not at all.
I'd rather be a 3 seed vs Oregon St or Indiana St than a 2 seed in UNC or Clemsons regional.
Give me Jump versus any 2 seed. Then I'll take Holman versus a 1 seed as well. From that point you get a 1 seed again having to beat you twice. We don't necessarily have the pitching, but by that point neither should our opponents.

I don't get why people say this. The 2 seeds are roughly the 17-32 rated teams in the field. Would you rather play a team from the 17-32 or 33-48 bucket in game 1.
Much better to be the 2 seed playing the 3, than vice versa. Winning game 1 with our pitching (after holman/jump) is crucial.
As close as our margins have been this year it could be important. Think if we get to Saturday (semis) in Hoover we can get to a 2.
