Now that Union Parish Grandjury failed to charge Holly for murder charge (although still being charged on weapons charge)
Will he return to team or was he booted from school. If there is nothing there to his involment we could use him. Short on backup. RBs

He’s still facing a felony for using a weapon in which someone was struck. They just can’t pin it on him…

Sorry, but he needs to stay off the team until exonerated

I would think they didn’t fail in charging him for murder since the victim still has a heartbeat.

They did decide not to charge him with attempted murder though…….

Somehow, I doubt that was high on his list of things to do a month ago. I think facing possible life in prison is a justifiable reason to sit a semester out.

I’m confused.

I would think if he knew he was innocent and he was out of prison, he would be doing everything to stay in a positive standing. That way if and when justice was served, Trey would be ready to go.

Maybe we have a different approach.

Doesn't matter if you know you're innocent, you're looking at charges and going to court. Nothing is guaranteed, you are still looking at potentially going away the rest of your life if there is a murder charge hovering... and someone DID die, so SOMEBODY is likely to be charged (I'm talking about the past month or so).
No matter who it is, I wouldn't be opposed to sitting the semester out, working a lot with your attorneys, and spending time with your family thinking about what's at stake. That's not an admission of guilt, that's an admission that this could quickly change your life forever.

School (and athletics) will be there if he is cleared.

Coach Kelly said today in his presser that he is still enrolled in online classes and they are still waiting for things to be clarified after the main charges wwere dropped but he is still part of the team.

Attorney Mike Small is already doing his job. It's been said that DA's can get a grand jury to indict a turnip, but not this one in Union Parish? How hard did this DA press the grand jury? Maybe M Small has pointed out a few things. I dont know, but this was a big win for Holly.
