I know folks are all whatever over the Michigan stuff, but i've always felt his analysis of teams were pretty solid.

I think Kirk actually took the time to look at the rosters of teams and you can't look at LSU's roster and not see the potential of this team.

Herbie picking LSU in the SEC is not as big a stretch as his pick of Oklahoma over TCU and Baylor in the Big XII. That one has me scratching my head.

Harris had Ohio St in his top 3 out of HS and they really wanted him. He knows plenty about Harris.

Herbie also picked Auburn to win the National Championship in 2010 with Cam Newton.
You can bash him if you want, but he knows his stuff and is right more often than most others.
I have no idea what will happen, but the fact that he picks us to win the SEC and be in the CFP at the very least points to the quality of this team.
We know what is going to happen. This will be a very good football team. Who knows how many wins we will have, but I am optimistic for a good season.

I've never understood people whose opinion of an analyst is easily swayed by them picking for or against LSU.
I have always thought Herbstreit is a great analyst whether or not he picks LSU.
Stand for what you believe in and take the analyst picking or not picking LSU out of it.
