It's NFL fans, like me, that have made this deal a necessity.

It's NFL fans, like me, that will make the next round of ESPN layoffs a necessity.

Yes, I'm that NFL fan.

NFL Network was the one place you could find basic football talk without all of the crap. I hope that doesn't go away.

Also how is this going to work for the other networks? Does ESPN get first choice on all of the programming and news?

Yep, people in here acting like ESPN wasn't essentially sponsored content for the NFL already need to get their head out their arse.

Nothing will change here.

I fill like CFB is going to somehow align itself with the NFL. The NFL has been believed to have a financial interest in CFB which has led to rumors of a CFB super league.

Guess I won't be watching the draft or the combine anymore if I have to watch it on ESPN.

During football season I watch Good Morning Football at least a couple of times a week. It was better when Kay Adams was there. I watched it more back then.

The league would lose their tax exempt status if they do this. Or did they already lose that?

I like NFL Network and have always enjoyed it as an alternative to ESPN’s NFL coverage. This is unfortunate news.

Exactly. Plus they show some past games once in a while.

NFL may tone down the wokeness in ESPN a bit

The NFL put Althea Bernstein’s name on a jersey and ad long after everyone knew it was a hoax

So i doubt it

Let’s not forget either that ESPN has dipped into the gambling biz with ESPN Bet.

So that means the NFL will have “an equity stake” in a company that has a partnership with a betting app.

But that won’t affect the games at all.

Nothing to see here, folks…
