The Nyx leader created this but this was DUMB for the council. There were at least three other parades that violated the minimums for bands and riders and they were not Nyxed. This will end up a lawsuit.

Most of the Krewe members that may have agreed with her on the issue just didn't want to have their lives ruined or shite thrown at them. It just wasn't worth it to have the mob come after you.
They went from being the literal largest Krewe in Carnival to their membership cut by 2/3rds within a month's time. Then down to basically nothing
