I was there during the Kav confirmation, and the security they had at the Capitol Visitors Center was strong. Rifles and dogs patrolling the entrance for people wanting to get into the Senate.
The claim that unarmed citizens overpowered Capitol Police is absolute BS. Video shows them being let in on the front size of the Capitol through otherwise hidden doors.
This BS narrative has gone on long enough.
