Wife & I are headed to Dublin in late February/early March and just wanted to see if there was anything that's a must see (that isn't obvious, of course).

So far we have:

Game of Thrones tour
Jameson Distillery
Guinness Storehouse
Cliffs of Moher
Kilmainham Gaol
St. Patrick's Cathedral
National Library of Dublin

Any museums that are particularly must-see? Restaurants/bars?

Get a shirt that says:

You must be Irish, because every time I see you my penis is Dublin.

Cliffs of Moher

Just want to make sure you know this is all the way on the other side of the island. Will take a few hours to get there and back, although Dublin's highway system is pretty good now and Dublin to Galway is a straight shot.

I would take a day trip and spend the night in Doolin or Galway if you plan on doing the Cliffs.

Go eat/hang out at O'Neill's LINK

We loved the Irish Stew and the Irish Beef and Guinness Stew.

Newgrange (much more impressive than Stonehenge imo).

Chester Beatty Library (best "museum" in Dublin).

Also Glendalough is well worth a visit.

National Museum of Ireland
National Writers Museum
Trinity College (in particular their spectacular library and to see the Book of Kells)
St. Stephen's Green
Croke Park (if anything is going on)

Restaurants/bars?

The Palace Bar
Temple Bar (an actual pub and also a neighborhood)

Here's my Ireland "Must See" list (in no particular precedence or geographical order):

Dublin City-
Kilmainham Gaol
Guinness Brewery
Temple Bar District
Trinity College/Book of Kells
Museum of Natural History
General Post Office
Dublin Castle

North & Northern Ireland
Newgrange *****
Belfast City
Black Taxi Tour Belfast
H&W Shipyard/Titanic
Giant's Causeway
Carrick-A-Reke
Dunluce Castle
Bushmills Distillery

Western Ireland
Aran Islands
Galway City
Ballintubber Abbey
Doolin
Cliffs of Moher
Adare
Killarney
Ring of Kerry
Ring of Beara
Skellig Michael
Mizen Head Lighthouse
Skibbereen Famine Museum
Drombeg Stone Circle
Kinsale
Cork City
Cobh
Jameson Distillery

And the requisite visit to Cashel like the Queen.

Obviously it would take about three of four weeks to do these, this is just a starting list, I'm sure I missed plenty. (Like the beauty of the Burren, Westport and Ailwee Cave and a bunch more.)

Pack rain gear and good sturdy weatherproof footwear.

Post your proposed day by day itinerary and we can review it.
