Seems like a mid season firing in 2024.

He gets another year.

But he gets canned mid season if they are 4-4

No chance that happens given their schedule. He won't go 4-4 and if he did that's major progress.

They might be 1-7

I’m rooting for the guy; Billy Bob is perfect in Florida.

Normal year id say definitely but this conference realignment/team addition has teams desperate to try to get their program going in a positive direction. They may not see Billy as that guyand may try to make a splash. If you fall behind in the new superconfernece, you may have a long hard road to recovery.

Yes, he’ll get one more year, if it doesn’t work out and Arizona has another solid season, Jedd Fisch would likely be his replacement.

When is Brian Kelly leaving for Ann Arbor? Maybe Billy can be his O.C.?

I love and appreciate what he did at UL.

That being said, he’s most likely canned after next season, if not sooner.

It would be a pretty absurd gamble to fire him after two years, but Auburn went nuclear on Harsin after one, so... maybe?

Conventional wisdom would tell you that if the guy isn't putting up consecutive 2-10 type of seasons that you need to give him at least three, if only so that if he doesn't work out, his replacement will see you gave him a chance.

But they looked real undisciplined and ugly down the stretch

Harsin got a second year, although he was fired late in the regular season of year 2.
