Because they see Catholic/UHigh grab all the premier athletes in the entire BR metro region while they are limited to kids who live in their relatively smaller zipcodes

They also know each school finds "ways" to help with tuition which is a violation of current LHSAA bylaws

It isn't the non-select schools' fault for the debacle that is LHSAA football.

The non-selects originally proposed 6 division. 4 non-select and 2 select. That would have kept every division competitive.

The non-selects went bananas and demanded the same number of divs despite not having enough schools. It was their attempt to poison the split from happening. Non-selects called their bluff and voted in favor of the split anyway.

You Do relize why the selects went with 4 divisions don't you. Unlike the public schools think not every private school is out their buying athletes. You could not expect the schools with 200 kids to compete with the ones that have 800-900 kids. Majority of private schools are small.

Yet we expect schools with a geographic footprint of 50K to compete with a school whose footprint approaches 870K?

For LHSAA purposes, get rid of the bylaws that stipulate living in attendance zones. Families will find a way to get their kids into the schools they want to attend. Sometimes opting to use another family members' address. Don't make the LHSAA enforce residency rules leave that to the state/parish. If the kid got in, he/she is eligible
