He's the Coach O of LSU basketball. Recruits his arse off but doesn't do much with it.

They are literally the exact opposite.

O inherited a fairly consistent program that had played for 3 NC’s in the prior 15 years. And he turned it into a mediocre program.

Wade took a bad program and has made it a consistent winner in the SEC.

Coach O went 15-0 and won a national championship. Other than that and a NY6 win, not much.

O ruined the program. Kelly had 39 scholarship players left. Cregg shite is happening. Recruiting and other violations playing out. I mean, what the hell.
His head coaching record was 55-48. Only 3 winning seasons, 2 non-losing, 4 losing….

The burden of proof for NCAA infractions is MUCH looser than what it would be to prove charges in civil or criminal court. Just offering money (or something else against NCAA rules) to sign with LSU is an infraction even if no money actually changed hands. All the NCAA needs is multiple people who will swear WW offered illegal inducements to find WW "guilty."

My HOPE is that, with no Show Clause, Woodward will keep WW and let him guide us through any NCAA penalties. I firmly believe that WW is superior than anyone SW could get to come here and take over a penalized program.

Well put. I agree with all your points. The timing of this by the NCAA is sickening and pathetic, but was to be expected. Based on their hard-on over this witch hunt and making Wade a sacrificial lamb, I fear a show cause will be in the NOA. We'll find out soon enough.

He won the SEC in his 2nd year and has gone to the tourney in every year but his first year. I wouldn't say he doesn't do much with it. If we hadn't won the SEC and had all 1st round exits in the tourney, then I'd say that.

Will Wade has brought energy and spark and has LSU Basketball exciting and relevant again.

At this time burden of proof of infraction is on the NCAA to determine and we get what we get.

You can argue the fine points but Will Wade admitted on a FBI wire tape that he was paying a player make a offer.

I like Will Wade as coach for LSU but this investigation is all on him.

My opinion is not much coming out of the accusations and WW stays as head coach.

Right. Except make the tourney every year which is more than we can say for the previous several coaches. Once it’s official in a few days this will be his 3rd appearance. It would be 4 if not for the Covid cancellation in 2020.

So that would be double the last 2 coaches combined. And matching Brady in half the time.
