I use the lower leg boot as well. Has worked very time. Sleep with it on as soon as I start to feel it coming on. In a day or 2 it is gone.

I had it really bad this summer. My buddy said I need to stretch my hamstrings more. Started stretching my hamstrings a handful of times a day and it went away quickly. I continue to stretch a few times a day to keep it away.

It’s my understanding from having had this condition in both feet, cortisone injection, using the Stassburg sock, and orthotic inserts in my shoes, that walking around barefoot a lot is probably the single worst thing you could do for plantar fasciitis.

Mind me asking which podiatrist? I’d like to try that.

Don't remember the name of the doc, but I believe this was the place, Acadiana foot centers. address below

I didn’t read all of the responses but mine went away doing 5 minutes of jump rope per day for a week.

Working out on a spin bike helped me tremendously. I do 30 minutes a day and stretch like there is not tomorrow, particularly my calves.

Get some adidas comfort slides and use as house shoes. They’ve made a huge difference for me.

Red Wing inserts worked the best for me. They warm them in an oven and you stand in them for 2 minutes to adapt to your feet.

Had really bad bilateral plantar fasciitis last year. Here is what seemed to help me.

1. Stretch your Achilles tendon multiple times per day. This is the root cause of most of the pain.

2. Include some pt, you can do it in your home. Picking up marbles with your toes and dropping them in a cup, rolling arches on frozen waterbottles etc..... There are tons of good ones online.

3. GET GOOD SHOES. Not talking about expense, get good arch support for YOUR foot. For me it was Hoka shoes, superfeet insoles, Oboz boots and oofos flip flops, not the slides. Of those only the oofos I would recommend for everyone, best thing I've ever found for foot pain.

Like others have said, I used the frozen water bottle, stretched, etc..Mine gradually got better but what I think helped was wearing Birkenstocks instead of flip flops or going barefoot, especially around the house.

I had what I thought was an Achilles tendinitis because of overuse and treadmill running. Lasted for a month in 2021. Went to see an orthopedic foot specialist. Got on a prescription grade anti inflammatory. Finally went away. Came back after the Garth Brooks concert in April of this year and lasted into June. Finally figured out it was gout and not a tendinitis. Bloodwork showed that I had high uric acid levels. Red meat and alcohol were the triggers. Been on some meds since then and haven’t had a problem. The pain in my heel during the flare ups was some of the worst pain I’ve felt. Couldn’t put weight on it. Couldn’t raise or lower my foot. Would wake up in the middle of the night because of the pain. Something else to consider if the other recommendations don’t help.

Got some new “power step” inserts today to try in my shoes til the information goes down. Next step is to get some brooks or Saucony from varsity. Looked today and they convinced me to just try the insets in my new adidas ultraboosts. Really starting to think it was on clouds that led to this shite. Putting all the pieces together

You mean the medical community that injected you with steroids, sold you expensive shoe inserts and recommended over the counter devices devices for your issue also didn't want you to do something totally free to help strengthen the muscles, tendons and ligaments and promote balance to help prevent things like shin splints, bursitis, tendonitis, plantar fasciitis and a host of other issues rooted in underdeveloped leg, ankle and foot muscles?????

Nah, I don't believe it.

I had been battling it off and on for years, treating it with nsaids, stretching, and cold cans. The thing that was a breakthrough for me, which was recommended to me by an athlete suffering from the same affliction, was massage therapy.
