Been lurking and praying for a happy ending.

Honestly the trap route is probably the safest route ... Poor dog is on borrowed time that close to the interstate and waterway...I'd hate to see him get spooked into either by some well-meaning search crew

Ok.

I just left some food and water between the area last seen by Proximo and where I saw him yesterday. 1-10 west, right side about a quarter mile before the Chalmette exit.

The food and water is out of the grass and on the shoulder.

Probably so. But someone needs to be very watchful of it. Once he's in there, he's on very limited time. Lots of crazy arse people, other animals, etc. to threaten him and he can't do anything to defend.

But probably the easiest way to get him safely.

agreed. If I can find one I'd set it at night and go check in the morning

Yea if you guys are gonna use a trap someone needs to be there. There’s a ton of wildlife in that area and people driving by who spot a dog stuck and they are taking him.

the largest one I see is that one on home depot but won't arrive until november 10th.

I'll camp out this weekend if someone has a big enough one to do it. he's not going to make it much longer alone

What is the most recent sighting?
I found James’ shirt in the clearing, no sign of Rico.
Drone is 20 minutes out.

Has anyone been checking with Slidell and New Orleans animal shelters regularly, and animal rescue facebook groups like ARNO and the like?

its possible someone saw him in the past 24 hours and was able to get him, so its good to check while still looking for him.

Well the owners need to do this and do it regularly. I've made it clear a number of times, the police were notified. Although unlikely, the dog may have been picked up.

The dog is dressed up nicely but not chipped or tagged.

We’re going to work our way over to the Chalmette exit. Saw one other person driving along the shoulder earlier that appeared to be looking for something.
Has anyone heard from James?
He’s not answering the phone.
