It'll be dry. No reason to shut down. Unless somebody's hoopty catches fire. So yeah it'll probably be closed.

Rain ends Tuesday so no worry about it freezing over. Just have to worry about the dumbass 18 wheelers and everyone else goin 75-80 mph on the bridge.

It’s going to be very dry after the front moves through and windy. Roads will dry well before temps hit freezing.

Is Krotz Springs still a speed trap? It used to make national lists as one of the worst.

Krotz Springs has two things. Awesome Boudin and speeding tickets.

Happens at least once a week.

Was stuck on there Saturday and got off at Whiskey Bay and took that little dirt road up to Krot Springs just to avoid sitting for a couple of hours. I am taking US 190 from now on. The Basin Bridge is too volatile. It needs to be widened and upgraded badly.

Not from ice it will be dry.

It will be from a normal everyday traffic accident.

Kind of hard to avoid a pile up going 80, with barely any shoulder. I used to do 100 mph across the basin. I’ve seen too much carnage. I’ve slowed down.

The difference between 80 and 60 over 18 miles is about 2 minutes.

I don’t even check in my phone anymore. Just take 190 as the permanent route.

That’s not doing you any favors unless you’re going to central LA

I assume that is a rhetorical question.

It doesn't matter. If the weatherman announces any kind of anomalies at all, much less FROSTY ARMAGEDDON!!!! everybody puts their brains in the back seat and drives like absolute retards. It doesn't even have to come true. FROSTY ARMAGEDDON!!!!! is here and we must all wreck.

Yes, but the good news is that you can leave early and get through unscathed. I just checked the schedule, and the 18-wheeler is not scheduled to lay on its side, for a nap, until 11:32 am.
