Frenchman who was captured by the Nazi’s lived in my home town. He was friends with my dad. He was at a small concentration camp after his capture. He was treated better than theJews and was given a job of cleaning the offices. The things this guy witnessed is beyond the pale. Humans can be evil. They would take women and put boiled eggs up their woman parts. Take men’s balls and hit with hammers. They did all kinds of human experiments. So I say frick off with your Jew hating Nazi loving fricking posts.
Okay now do the Soviets. How many people did they kill before and after the war?
Hint: it’s A LOT more than the Germans

You should read about his thoughts on the denazification process. You know, since you’re such a high-IQ alter spotter and everything.

The US didn't like him either. He's considered an anti semite and pro nazi by the dweebs.

On September 22, 1945, Gen. George S. Patton tells reporters that he does not see the need for “this denazification thing” and compares the controversy over Nazism to a “Democratic and Republican election fight.”
Got demoted over his anti Soviet and lax attitude toward Nazis.
Seems Patton would agree with the OP

No one is denying the Soviets were bad. Stalin killed 20 million of his own people.

Just listened to a Lindbergh baby kidnapping case and that dude was a total a-hole. Into Eugenics, he had numerous affairs with German women and fathered like 7 or 8 kids.
His first kid, the kidnap victim, had hammer feet and rickets which embarrassed Lindbergh. Will Rogers was over there one day and Lindbergh kept throwing stuff at the toddler to knock him down so Rogers wouldn't see him walking funny.

To be serious for a minute, I do think people should be judged within the context of their time.
Lindbergh was a complicated man and the isolationist movement was rightfully in some ways huge at the time. The full crimes and horrors of the Nazis were not fully known or widespread yet.
People should view historical figures with some level of nuance and context.

This is the OT, you're just going to make them like him more. Look how quick and openly they defend Nazis. Hell, open up just about any thread on here and you won't be hard pressed to find comments from posters that would love them some eugenics

Would you say his attitude towards Nazis was lax prior to 1945? Because he did a pretty good job killing them

Of course it is

Its true.
Had Germany defeated the USSR, the history lessons today would be about the evils of Stalin and communism.
Communist regimes wiped out up to 100 million, not due to war. Just execution, starvation and working them to death.

Ok, but saying one homicidal regime is better than another was and is America’s post-WW II platform.

it's a lot of the same people who pretend to care about the "literal nazis" in Ukraine. These people deserve our pity. But it's ok to laugh at them too.

Seriously though, the US is a homicidal regime too. It's like all the major power players of the world are the spider man meme and the Swiss are just sitting back laughing at our dumbasses.

Ease up, big fella. No matter how evil Uncle Joe and the Soviets were (and they were), that doesn't make Nazi Germany "good" in any way, shape or form.

kinda, but he made a huge difference in the war effort by teaching pilots how to significantly reduce fuel consumption, giving our aircraft much greater combat range.
