Make sure to scoop up some Sno Seal to fully waterproof them. They turn a cool color with the wax too.

Thanks again CuseTiger and Hogwall Jackson for the invite to ski with you guys. It was a great time, glad the sun came out to soften things up a bit. Also great to meet you Duke as well.

Yeah, new they had a layer of Nikwax so it got us through that trip. As soon as we got home I coated them good with some Hestra conditioner I have and another layer of Nikwax and usually throw another coat on a couple days before we leave

Just finished day 3 of 4 in Chamonix. Skied Vallee Blanche today and it didn’t disappoint. Highly recommend it if you get the chance

The powder was awesome, it dumped all day yesterday at Winter Park. Crowds were crazy but I had some fun runs in the Eagle Wind area and finished the day over on the Mary Jane side with bumps and trees. It was a free refill of powder kind of day.

Made the decision today to head to Steamboat early and get two days there. Lots of soft turns and sun. The hike up to North St Pats and East Face was awesome, the snow up top was much more like the champagne powder you expect.

Also skied Shadows and the trees by Three O'clock, the snow was a bit denser there, my legs were on fire after Shadows.

Finished the day with a run down the ridge and onto a very bumped out valley view. I have one more day here tomorrow before making my way back toward Denver and maybe I'll ski a half day at A-Basin Tuesday before my flight if my legs have anything left in the tank.

Sick ski route you’ve been on. We had some guys go up to Steamboat yesterday and said it was great.

We hit up A Basin the last two days to avoid crowds and it did not disappoint.

I bet the Beavers were awesome, never had a powder day at A-Basin before.

Was inevitable. A Basin overestimated the amount of people who would shell out $600 for just their mountain when they broke off from Epic. This will make the Ikon more competitive for us Coloradans.

As long as they don't make it unlimited on the Ikon pass I am not sure much can really change at A-Basin. It isn't like they can put some kind of mega development there, not much room to really do anything up there.

I don’t think much will change. Parking is their main limiting factor. Maybe they’ll do a reservation system for Ikon base pass. I think that’s where we are going to end up anyway. I imagine variable pricing based upon a home mountain and limiting factors like a reservation and limited days at other mountains.

Had a great day in Breck on Sunday. Bluebird, soft snow and light crowd for that place. It’s such a great mountain but the crowds ruin it a lot of the times.

Went to Purgatory a couple of weeks ago and very minimal snow compared to previous years.

Going to Keystone on Saturday and not much snow in the forecast for the upcoming weeks.

Has anyone been lately that can provide a real snow conditions report? It will be a good trip regardless but just curious.

Thanks

Headed to Big Sky on Saturday. Some snow this week, but the On The Snow reports have been pretty bad... I guess we'll see? Any first had reports?
