What services are people outside of the parish paying for City services?

That's kind of what Baton Rouge is doing to St. George right now. And that's exactly why they are fighting against this unincorporated area having the right to set up their own city.

Over $50 million annually in tax revenue generated in the unincorporated area is allocated to the Baton Rouge City budget. Expenditures from that budget fund services only provided within city limits.

Is it from property taxes or sales tax? I really have no idea and am very interested.

If LSU was not in BR, BR would be worse than Jackson, MS

LSU is the ONLY thing keeping that city somewhat livable.
