He apparently spent $1,000 at a Foot Locker in New Orleans over the weekend as well.
Someone contacted one of my family members on Facebook and said they saw him stumbling around the French Quarter holding the dog on Friday. They said he was mumbling to himself.

So glad to hear he has been found alive and safe. I've been following this thread hoping for a good announcement. Having seen friends struggle with addiction, these situations are often sad later in life.

If this is the case he was likely the victim of a pickpocket which would explain the phone situation.
Glad your family was able to find him and he’s very lucky.
