A few pictures I took of the Grand Canyon on my way home from the west coast this morning. I've had the privilege of seeing the GC many times from a cockpit, but this morning was the prettiest I've ever seen it with the haze. These pictures really don't do it justice.

Maybe you had to be there, but it was stunning in person.

Be very very careful if in Louisiana. For just an ounce or two juice ain’t worth the squeeze. encounter a pissed off cop and a single plant can ruin your life.

I left a few patches of Aster to grow and bloom this year. It has been absolutely covered with pollinators. I've seen over a dozen different butterflies, 6-10 different bee species, wasps, flies, moths....all sorts of stuff.

Here are some of the pics I got:

A cool pic of a carpenter bee

Sachem skipper

Gray hairstreak

Western honeybee

Brown winged long horn bee

Blue faced meadowhawk

Eastern tailed blue

Fiery skipper

Another native long horn bee

Ocala skipper

Variegated fritillary

Gulf fritillary

Monarch

Common buckeye

Catching fish always gets an upvote from me. (Unless I was on the same boat that day and got skunked.)

I used to drive from Orlando to Anna Maria Island to spend the day doing beach dives out to "Sugar Barge" about 150 yards off the beach. Usually speared a flounder or two for dinner.

Nice vid'!
