Fong is the insider of all insiders and just today he has entered his pick for LSU and then retracted it. Especially now that NIL is involved, no one (including insiders) has a fricking clue what these kids are gonna do.

Something happened. ON3 had moved the prediction to 83% for LSU this morning. Now it’s back down to the 20s.

Fong’d is tossed around entirely too much. The dude will put in a pick and flip it right before the commitment date.
He may be an “insider” but he doesn’t stick to his picks and changes them to keep his accuracy high.

Yeah but I think this is more telling of the volatility of recruiting in the NIL era than anything else. Should he leave his pick on the wrong team despite knowing that the winds have changed?

He shouldn’t make the pick to begin with. Last year he stuck with the Desmond Ricks LSU pick up until the day of his commitment. Switched it to Alabama the morning of.

Seems to me that an insider should give accurate information as soon as they are aware of it. If a recruit changes his mind, why is the “expert” wrong to reflect that in the info he is reporting? We’re not talking about an exact science here. These kids change their minds all the time. I don’t think reasonable people expect a crystal ball to be written in stone.

Yeah that’s how I feel about the predictions too. He’s the best national guy in recruiting and I don’t think it’s particularly close.

Desmond Ricks didn’t change his mind. Ricks had never made a decision.

Starting to wonder if we've just been super strategic behind the scenes.
Like, lets find the guys we want, offer them, wine & dine them and see where that gets us.
Then, after we have a better picture of where we're at and who we've been able to lockdown, we start tossing big $$$ at the guys still on the fence.
