There are only 18-20 schools right now with the budget, facilities, fan support, institutional commitment and recruiting level to win a national championship. Washington is one of them.

It's still better than Wyoming around the FBS as an independent.

Got to hand it to the PAC 12. They were arrogant and stupid until the bitter end

From a casual viewer perspective, I will say this is a good thing. We are about to get some really compelling matchups in that last TV time slot now.

Yeah I hate it for the fans getting left behind…but hard to feel sorry for west coast elites running the schools.

Looks like the Oregon move has finally got ASU and Utah off their asses.

Arizona State & Utah "showing interest" in the Big 12, sources told
@ActionNetwork
. Arizona has already applied for Big 12 membership, but Big 12 now "exploring its options" following news of Oregon & Washington leaving for Big Ten

The Big Ten is expected to officially approve Oregon and Washington as new members later today, sources tell @TheAthletic.

It'll be interesting to see what the revenue share ends up looking like. Expectation has been that UO/UW could come in even as low as 50 percent.

And by them dragging their feet, the Big 12 isn’t necessarily in a hurry to grab them.

Stanford has to be the biggest loser in all this.

Stanford has options.

Cal are the ones totally fricked by this given their financial situation paying for the stadium improvements.

Arizona State and Utah just royally fricked themselves with the crap they pulled yesterday. Arizona was ready to pull the trigger but ASU had the Arizona Board of Regents hold the deal up.

Looking very likely that the Big 12 is going to now pass on both ASU and Utah or significantly reduce their payout amount.

Feels like the ACC will find themselves squarely in the crosshairs now that the PAC is toast.

I still can't believe some tech billionaire hasn't bailed these schools out. I guess it still could happen. I kind of thought Apple or Amazon would step up with some sweetheart deal to save the Pac 12. It would have been great PR and they could have packaged a promotional/recruiting deal with all the schools.

Big 12 should invite Stanford and Tulane to get to 18 teams after the remaining 4 corner schools gets approved and tell Cal sorry.

You think the Arizona Board of Regents is going to allow Arizona to go to the Big-12 and let ASU join at a reduced rate? ASU is not getting a lesser share than Arizona. Not possible.

If Arizona had the power to determine what they do alone they’d already be in the Big-12.
