Neck without the students and the drunk idiots is still a fun song. The song didn’t have those lyrics built in. Much like ‘All of the Lights’ (students added STTDB to that) as well as Saturday Night/Amen (STTDB added as well)
no issue with Neck, at all. And I don’t hate the lyrics. See “eat shite, f*ck you” at Wisconsin and Dixie Land Delight at Alabama … lots of schools have stuff like that ???????

A young Frank Wickes? Too early to say.
His Resume' on the LSU band department page on lsu.edu is not that impressive though. (Just like all the others on TGBFTL Staff)
After this season, we've got to get an experienced guy in here with an extensive Drum Corps and College Marching Band background.
Hey how about this scenario?
We steal Linda Moorhouse from Illinois to take over the Director of Bands position from Talleywacker and we steal Ken Bodiford from Jacksonville State (it would take big $$$$$$$$ to get him) to assume the Associate Director of Bands/Head Tiger Band Director position.

Neck is only popular because of the vulgarity. Hell, even FSU was mocking us with it when we lost last year. We reap what we sow. I'm fine going down with that ship.
Is it trashy? Yes. Do I care what other fans perceive us in regards to a fight song? No. We could be Tennessee fans and pelt the officials/teams with objects, but we don't. We could be Eagles fans and throw batteries at Santa, but we don't. At the end of the day, we're fairly tame in regards to how we actually treat opposing fans. Lots of bark but we always have a good time at the end.
Also, we could be hillbillies and make the news like Alabama/Auburn fans by shooting family members after a loss, but I've yet to see that happen with LSU fans.
