I'm sure housing of all kinds - including hotels and AirBnBs - will be at even more of a premium than ever before. I would assume the time it takes to re-build a home is substantially longer in Hawaii than in the Continental US.
If I lived in Hawaii, I'd imagine the extra traffic, wait times, congestion, and annoyance from tourists is the last thing they want to deal with for at least the 18+ months while they re-build their lives. Just cancel the trip.
