Well if people stop buying cars, they will have a supply of cars with no demand and will need to lower the price. It's kind of how supply and demand works.

Just googling I found 10 immediately all between $73-$76k. Wasn’t an exaggeration

Didn't say they couldn't be optioned up to that, but they don't start there. You could spend more than $41k on a 2016 Lariat as well.

MSRP =/= actual price

Dealers are marking everything up. It's called Adjusted Market Value and idiots pay it.

That ship has sailed on most models. Local dealers are advertising big discounts on domestic trucks again.

The problem is you frickers keep paying it. As people keep buying new over and over again they will keep raising the prices unchallenged. If everyone started keeping their cars longer and buying used for a while they will have no choice to sell lower as demand slows and supply grows.

My kids are finding good used cars for under $8k.

Don't get me wrong... I'd love for prices to drop even more (I've got a 16 year old saving her money).

But your next car is not worth more than you are willing to pay for it.

The 2 Lariats sitting on the lot nearest me at 69k and 73k and they won't budge a dollar. It's pretty wild.

Definitely won't be buying a lariat off the lot.

It’s a good day to be a mom and pop mechanic/transmission/etc. shop. More people are going to be forced to fix old cars rather than buy new.

I agree. We need people to lose, as unfortunate as that sounds. Individual accountability must be had because no one is holding the lender or financial institution accountable.

The fact that people wont refuse these prices out of principal is mind-boggling.

A buyers strike on auto should’ve happened 12 months ago.

Stop buying $70k cars, dumbasses.

We just bought an Audi Q5e this weekend for Mrs. H2O. Was able to get 4k off MSRP since the electrics/plug in hybrids are having a hard time getting moved.

My issue is with a growing family and traveling to see grandparents I need a larger vehicle and they are just stupid expensive right now. Hell even minivans are stupid high right now. I am hoping to find a nice used SUV/minivan with sup 35K miles on it and sub $40K.

You can buy a brand new Sienna or Odyssey for under $40k right this second.

Bunch of angry people downvoting facts in this thread

A bubble is going to burst on this big time, similar to the 2008 housing market
