Best compound bow package for a beginner for deer hunting? Budget of around $400-$500.

Bear makes some decent ready to hunt packages that are priced good. I think they are sold at Cabelas and Bass Pro but don’t quote me on that. I haven’t been in the market for a while.

I’d check out that package. Has everything they need. Then as they get more into it can always upgrade if they want.

As others said, the Bear RTH are really nice for the price.
I saw this one yesterday on their website on sale.

Coach, I was just looking at my old PSE Brute in my hunting closet this morning and was wondering why I still have it. Not sure if you’re looking for brand new or not but if you’re around Baton Rouge and interested in used, I would be willing to work out a deal on it. Have everything needed for it.

You can get the Bear Species EV RTH from Bear’s website for less than $400 if you use promotional codes.

Diamond Bow packages seem to be a good value. Have some friends that have them. They don't have any complaints

Honestly most of the bows are so good now at that price point can you really go wrong? I hunted for years with a RTH PSE Stinger from Bass Pro. Enjoyed it, a little heavy. You can get a nice setup at that price point that will kill animals just fine.

I'm looking at second hand bows. Options in the Houma area are PSE brute force or a Bowtech Diamond. Both come with everything needed to go hunt. Just need to go get it fitted for myself.

Any opinions/preferences between the two. Figure I'll start here and if I decide to go to mainly bow hunting, I'll upgrade to a Matthews or Hoyt.
