Are you talking about that grocery store sitting slop in a bag good sir?

That is mediocrity at its finest, treat yourself

I stumbled across some random hipster guys page where he was making some hardcore specialty coffee. Like he had every gadget and gizmo imaginable!! And the production value was really high too. I just drink my coffee black from the keruig tho

Fresh roasted coffee vs. grocery store ground is very noticeable. Any stubborn dude in this thread could tell you which is which if they did a H2H and were honest about it.

Just like the average person can pick out a solid bordeaux vs a grocery store cabernet blend if you tell them what to pay attention to. It's not made up, the differences are obvious.

There must be something in that 8 month old pre-ground Community dark roast that makes them so ornery

Yeah I've done the $13 bags of whatever the fancy yellow bag is called. It's good but not worth twice as much as freshly ground community breakfast blend at least for me

See, ThePoo, this is an example of what I'm talking about. Ignorance itself is not a sin. Wallowing in ignorance and acting as if it is a virtue is a sin.

This is really sad.

Some people who post here and willfully twist themselves into a pretzel debating whatever topic without realizing it tickles me. It is good, cheap entertainment.

Well, at least it isn't a sin.

Nah, see, you still don't get it, although I realize that you think you're making a great point. It's not persuasive at all. But if you love your pre-ground coffee this much, enjoy it. The OP was just questioning why people do so when it's objectively not as good.

If we're being honest, coffee and beer topics on this board are tainted with pridefully rejecting "lib" things like decent coffee and craft beer

And in fairness baristas and beer dorks make it easy to get to that point

We cold brew, and like it so much better that we can barely drink normal coffee of any kind anymore. Luckily we don’t travel much.

Who among us hasn't learned quite a lot about people and the world by these dumb arguments on the OT?

My wife quite seriously marvels at the things I know about because they're discussed on this board. Washers and dryers, types of flooring, clothes of all sorts, private schools throughout the southeast, the pros and deficiencies of every automobile on the market, weather patterns, regional cuisine highlights, school discipline topics, the rising cost of dowels, I could go on forever

Any time there's some local news or weather event my wife says "can you see what Tigerdroppings is saying about it?"

There are electric and even battery powered grinders now, paw-paw. You just push a button.

But the quality is so much better is you just spend a little extra time and use a manual grinder

Oh i get the question and I answered it in my first post, they don't care about coffee, its not a priority

It is just a dumb question

You can literally equate it to almost any common daily product out there and answer your own question
