Maxwell's has nice steaks as well as Iverstine's

I second Iverstines. Just make sure to get there earlier in the day, when their selection is the best. They also sell beef tallow to sear steaks in.

If you go during lunch time, make sure to get something from the deli. Best burger in BR in my opinion, solid muffuletta, and the plate lunches are very good. Also recommend grabbing a sourdough loaf, or butter rolls from St. Bruno Bread Co.

I love Iverstine’s. Especially their pork. I also order beef ribs now and then.

The best selection of truly prime beef I’ve found in Baton Rouge is Calandro’s on Perkins.

They consistently have some beautifully marbled ribeyes. I just with the Government St. location was a bit more consistent with how thick they cut their steaks.
