Is this a good hotel to stay at and walk to at night from the Superdome after TSwift concert?

I say yes. We've done it multiple times. Also don't forget PB & J sandwich bar every night at 10:00 in the lobby.

I just stayed there a few weeks ago for a concert at Smoothie King. It's a pretty decent hotel and very easily walkable to and from the concert with little to no concerns for safety (remember, you'll be walking with a large crowd of people after the concert heading in that general direction to get to the quarter).

Unfortunately (for the poster above), they moved PB&J time to mid afternoon. It's no longer a late night treat to come back after drinking in the quarter to have some PB&J's and ice cold milk to soak up all the alcohol.

Stay at the Hotel St Vincent and just cab over to the show. It’s a very cool old building that’s been remodeled incredibly. Great pool area.

Yes.
Other than the Hyatt which is right next door, that would be my second choice for dome events.

The location is good. The room we had when we stayed there was very small. I grabbed at PBJ at 9:57 p.m. because they were out and the security guard jumped my a$$. I stay at the Hyatt House now when I need to be near the Dome

For that T. Swift weekend next year, the hotels closest to the dome will obviously be very expensive.
Just use google maps to look at the layout of the hotels in the CBD and Warehouse District as there are others that will be a little further walk, but will be quite a bit cheaper.

It's at like 4 or 5 right now. Staffing is an issue.

The hotel was remodeled recently. It's NICE.

Any luck with booking Le Pavillion? Are the hotels not booking that far out or are they all blocked out for the concerts? For reputation tour we could not get a cab or Uber out of the area. We finally got a shared cab just bc some old ladies spotted us with little girls.

If you're staying at the Le Pavillion be aware of the paranormal activities in the late hours...

I have found that trying to Uber leaving huge events is a real problem. There are many things that can go wrong. Traffic is so bad that many drivers won't go there as they can get fares farther away. Surge pricing is ridiculous. Cell service is often bad because there are so many on the phone at the same time. You can have run down batteries by then if you don't plan properly. (I've had all these things happen leaving the LSU/Texas football game at UT.) We had to walk almost a mile away to get an Uber at all. Most were not coming anywhere near due to traffic. Both our batteries were running out and service was really bad. If you plan on an Uber, plan on walking at least a half mile away before you request one.

I rechecked Le Pavillon hotel since we are in the month of November which was previously unavailable on their calendar. 599 per night for a king room. Quite pricey, but when I looked at other decent hotels 599 seemed attractive. Virgin has a 3 nt minimum and is 1999 per night for a double queen. I wish I could share a bed with my teen, but she sleeps like an alligator rolling its prey. Guess we will be staying with family.
