I don’t think a lot of people could play for him because he was tough on his guys. I know you couldn’t.

Look up Neil Reed, LA Player of the Year.
Bobby Knight was an a-hole.

Knight was a basketball savant but was indeed an a-hole. He got away with throwing chairs and physically assaulting a few of his players. He tried intimidating anyone who disagreed with him.

In the end though, everyone of us are imperfect humans. We all have the capacity to harm and to love. I have heard that coach knight helped a good deal of people too.

I hope coach knight is in Heaven and enjoying eternal life. He was one of the best as far as sports goes.

Neil bless his soul was entitled and soft. Kid was put on a pedestal here at EJ. Did whatever he wanted….until he played for Bob Knight.

LSU, your team, has spent the better part of 15 years covering up sexual assault, rape, coaches sleeping with coeds God knows how many times.

Dunno if we should be all wishing death on someone because he was a meanie pants 30 years ago

He won and no one made people go play for him. And what exactly did he do wrong?

He was a man of his time. Not looking at it with today's glasses, what did he do wrong?

I agree with you 100% SwampyWaters. The dude was a total ahole. Remember the time he threw a chair out onto the court during the game because he had a meltdown. He had zero class. I remember once during a interview he made the brilliant statement that if you know you are about to be raped you should just lay back and enjoy it. Yea tell your wife or daughter that ahole. Yes he won a bunch of games but I have zero respect for him. Never did. A real great role model.

Do you say the same thing about a common recidivist convict when he dies? Or a middle eastern fundamentalist who thinks hes fighting a holy war when he dies?

All just flawed humans, right? Yet still all created in the image of Elohim and given the divine breath or life.
