Who here has real world experience with this engine ?

I had a 2015 F150 with the 2.7l turbo that had 185,000 trouble free miles on it until some idiot crossed the center line and totaled it.

I now have a 2021 F150 with the 3.5l turbo hybrid that is approaching 60,000 trouble free miles.

I got about 20 mpg (mostly highway) with the 2.7 and now get about 21-22 mpg (mostly highway) with the 3.5.

I have zero complaints with either engine (or the transmission).

Fully endorse the F150 with either one.

I have a 2017 with the same setup and haven't had any issues with the truck other than a few recalls that took them a few hours to do.

Granted, I have pretty low mileage for a 6.5 year old truck but it's been solid.

Any feedback on the 3.5 hybrid? How’s the switch over from electric to gas?

I hate the engine cut off at stops so not sure I could get use to it.
