All the talk has been Bryce coming in 2025. Not much on Hurley. Multiple State Championships. Army All American Bowl on Monday. Loves LSU. Excited to be coming. Can sling it. Anyone able to watch him in person besides highlites?

Just worried he messed up by reclassifying. He is gonna be what 16-17 when he gets to campus? Not sure what his plan is there. He is gonna need 2 years minimum of weight room/nutrition.

But he can still sling it.

He's really struggled with accuracy in high school. Jumping ahead a year isnt really whats probably best for him but it probably got him a spot in our class vs. 2025.

I dont think hes a guy that will be able to compete much first few years on campus simply due to being so young but someone that could emerge in years 3,4,5 perhaps.

16 when he gets to campus in a few weeks, he turns 17 in the spring or summer IIRC

We don’t have Underwood on campus yet. If we do land him, let them battle it out.

it makes no sense, why would you want to start the college clock when everyone you are playing against will be older than you
football is one sport where you need to physically develop especially to play in the SEC

Yes not just reclassify but to early enroll is just crazy right? Very high character guy it seems.

He kinda won't need weight room as much as youd think for a young kid. Hell be strongest, most built in the qb room second he gets there. He's built like jalen hurts. But yeah he's very young, and who knows how he'll develop in 2-3 years.
.he can sling it, works arse off , and has best attitude / maturity ever seen in that young of a kid, or most 35 year Olds even. I like those odds long term. Just hope it can be with us if he's patient. Accuracy is the issue as others mentioned, but he's 16.

If we get the Mich qb it may not matter.

LSU's QB room has never looked more solid, IMO. Getting Nuss to come back was pivotal. I think Collins will make for a serviceable QB should Nuss go down. Hurley will have time to learn the system and Bryce can be the one to challenge him. We can always use the portal for depth if need be.

In CBK/Denbrock/Sloan I trust.

Hurley isn’t necessarily the most talented but he’s most definitely a culture guy. He will make the culture of that room to get there early and leave late.

The attitude and effort are there. Sloan should be able to get the best out of him.

Until these true freshman show up and start practicing, I’ll definitely overlook them.

Wasn’t he a 5 star or close to it before he reclassified?

This. If Sloan cant develop him then he will transfer out.

I've never felt more confident in an offensive staff like I have with CBK. Our defense might be shite, but our offense wont ever be.

I was coming on and about to say the same thing. The weight room won't be his biggest need. He is a work out warrior! He will need to refine his passing skills and that is what they will work on him the most with. I do think him coming in and being able to sit back and learn from Nuss will be huge for him.

Yes. At one point, he was the #1 QB in his class. Reclassifying hurt that, and he also has some red flags in his game. He didn't quite develop like some others in the 2024 group have but some of those kids are two years older than he is (I think I saw where Underwood is older than Hurley). He seems mature beyond his years and he's put together pretty well.

This is one quarterback I don’t want us to lose on. He’s young but has the maturity, he’s physically gifted and has the work ethic to learn. Don’t shite on him cause he will surprise us all when his time comes.
