Agreed. Extra ox make all the difference in scaling the city in early game. You have enough village wealth to get extra right off the bat.

But the farms are so aesthetically pleasing I started a new game last night and went heavy on farming because the zone I started in had real good soil. Once you get a few more ox and plows it provides a lot of food. I still import barley because yield on barley sucks. Rye is where it's at once you get that upgrade.

Have y'all had big fires yet? Half my town burned down the other night before I even knew what happened. It hit at a bad time right after I'd gone through a major growth phase and I was low on supplies right before winter. I did not have any trade set up to back-fill supplies. I really haven't dived too deep into trade or combat. I guess I need to learn those parts of the game.
