I mean, if we’re being honest, she just never really fit with Nick and Mike, which I don’t think was either side’s fault.
Lol she has more on air talent then both of them combined. She is in line for a national gig. Not if, but when.
She was only out of place because she was the star of that group.

just seemed like an awkward fit with what they were trying to do. It didn’t seem like she was doing a lot of article and analysis writing like Nick and Mike do. So other than the pods
I don’t think you understand what they are trying to do. Their whole operation shifted to video-focused journalism. This was a calculated push by Underhill.
She was the face & host of every video they made. Print journalism is dying, which is why all of those entities are putting out video content now.
It’s not exactly a huge move but NOF just “acquired” the Jordy Culotta show. Video is kinda their thing now

Completely agree with this. With Brooke the show had a more professional and legit vibe- something I bet Underhill preferably wanted and why he hired Brooke. Without them its like 2 beat writers talking about the Saints over a beer- not necessarily bad but not exactly sure thats the professional vibe you want to go for. Underhill and Triplett just don’t have the polish thats needed.
On a sidenote, I don’t know what happened between Underhill and Brooke but you could tell that Underhill wasn’t pleased. He didn’t thank her once or wish ger good luck for someone that was a vital part of the show- regardless of how she left thats kind of a bad look on Underhill’s part.

That was my entire point. They tried to be more video and more First Take sports talk which wasn’t what built the brand to begin with. It was good, unbiased analysis by Nick in addition to some podcast.
I don’t think video is their lane. Their lane is articles and podcasts, not a video talk show where everything is moderated. Brooke is perfect for that kind of thing. Nick and Mike are not.

I probably know more of what they were trying to do better than anyone, including you Les. I was a former sports writer myself. I know the shite is dying But when I said what they were trying to do was completely different than what they’re trying to be now and what they were trying to be with Brooke. Underhill started this whole thing to kind of be a mini version of The Athletic, which is his lane. He excels in that. He does not excel in video. Brooke didn’t fit the version of NOF that they started out with but was the star of the video operation. Mike and Nick are terrible on video. That will probably tank the business more than losing Brooke

do they own Culotta's show or is that a partnership?
