Finally watching. Not sure why I have never. I am currently on season 3 which has been slow to start. Loved the first 2 seasons. No spoilers but do yall have a favorite season or episode?

Just wrapped up my first watch of it a couple nights ago. The pace is pretty much the same throughout in my opinion. There's a bunch of solid episodes throughout but Pine Barrens is probably one of the better ones as mentioned above.

I'm curious who else thought the show was absolutely hilarious.. I wasn't expecting to laugh as much as I did, but the writing was so good at so many points and the characters are so absurd

Paulie and Christopher were hilarious in that episode. It's definitely one of the better ones of the series

The only season I struggled with was season 1. From there on it was gold.

This.

I also find the last episode of the 4th season to be a good payoff after a fairly slow season of tension building to that point.

I know I'm going to get crucified for this and I must be in the very small minority, but wasn't a huge fan of Pine Barrens. I'm sure it was fine on my first watch, but having gone through 2 - 3 rewatches now, I usually fast forward through most of that episode. Same with all the weird dream sequence episodes.

Pine Barrens is great and so is Proshai, Livushka (the one with Livia's wake) and The Strong, Silent Type (Christopher's intervention) and yes the show is absolutely hilarious. That's part of what makes it brilliant. It shows the everyday monotony and humor of life that would be present even if you were in the mob.

That picture is a perfect example of the humor in the show.

I just remember it started out really good then got a little cheesy with some good parts. Big pussy was the balance between the crew. He was prob my favorite character.

Overall a great show (for all you haters who think I'm shitting on it).

I’ve never seen a series as good on 2nd, 3rd, and more rewatch, so there’s that to look forward to.

Man, I envy you and I also am excited for you. I've never watched another show that is even close to The Sopranos. I also think there's no other show that is as good on rewatches, primarily because this is such a character driven show.

Enjoy The Sopranos with a glass of OJ. Get the kind with shum pulp.

"Join The Club" is the best episode of the entire series and I don't think it's close.

It’s one of the funniest shows I’ve ever watched.

Tony’s facial expression here had me crying.

Same, 35 here. I don't know what I was expecting upon watching the first time through, but it wasn't comedy, that's for sure.

I was thinking I would get crucified for not watching yet. My dad never liked the show for some reason but I think it is because he also has those same issues psychologically somewhat that he doesnt want to address that these men have.

Had some great lol moments all throughout the show.

My personal favorites are the lines where Tony makes fun of Baccala's weight

"I think it's time you start to seriously consider salads"

(Baccala leaning against Tony's Suburban) "Get off before you tip the fukkin thing over" or something to that effect
