Best D in the league, made miracles with Flacco and injuries, did so in the best division in the league
It’s not for best team, it’s who did the best job (in theory)
The Texans had no business with 3 wins on the personnel front. Combine that with hitting on Stroud, it’s easy to see if voters punish him for it
Campbell would win if the award were spread over 2 years. Timing just sucks. Plus you know enough voters still think he’s a shallow meathead

The right guy won. Campbell's starting quarterback played every snap this year and Ryan's starting quarterback played all but a couple of games. The Browns went through starting quarterbacks the way bad teams go through kickers and still made the playoffs (getting a higher seed than the Texans despite playing in a tougher division too). Now add in not having Nick Chubb for practically the entire season.
