Let's talk sprayers...backpack or carry

What are most folks using these days for suburban lawns? I'm currently using a 2 gallon carry but after doing my front yard pre-emergent program a few days ago I've decided to upgrade. I don't have much of a yard just under a .5 acre total lot size minus the house so however much that is.

Definitely thinking of a backpack style but was curious to see if anyone uses the battery driven kind and if you like it or not.
