What about cars? They are highly regulated. How many deaths do they cause per year?
As a former service member, I would say an infantryman is going to be the epitome of spray and pray. And with the gung ho mentality, someone with your background might escalate the situation vs de-escalate? So maybe us former service members need more training to carry concealed?
You say every citizen should own firearms, but you have to qualify that includes for home and public defense. Maybe you should revisit the Constitution and your oath. None of those were cited in the Constitution you swore to defend. But yea, we should def have our firearms for plinking and recreational shooting.
