I’d stay in the park since you won’t need a new idiotic “timed reservation entry” ticket. They started that now and seems to be permanent for the foreseeable future. The Lodges or the Ahwahnee are in the Valley. Ahwahnee is the more expensive. Problem being most are already probably booked up through summer and early fall. Sometimes 3rd party sites buy up rooms that you can pay extra for and get a room. I did that and found a room 4 months before we went in June one year.
