Not a fan of the NFL. What’s making them put the money on Carr or Peterman?

Three reasons:

1) We're heavily financially committed to Carr. Biggest advantage of drafting a 1st round QB is the 5 years of low-cost control of the player. Carr WILL be on the roster for at least 2 more seasons, likely for 4.

2) The team is generally committed to Carr, finances aside. Yes, he struggled last year, but the team feels that wasn't totally his fault. If you're them, and believe he can still be the guy for 5-7 more years, then it doesn't make sense to pursue a QB in the first round

3) At least the top 4 QBs in this draft will be gone by the time we pick. We lack resources to move up, and the team must keep draft picks in order to restock the aging roster. There is just no path to getting a QB.

Carr is our QB, like it or not, and unless the regime here completely changes, that will stay the case IMO. As much as I'd like to have someone different, at this point, we should just hope the team builds around him as best they can imo

What's the point of drafting a QB when we have one under contract? Stupid to draft a first rounder when we paying Carr a good sum.

THE VISION: Carr is viewed as a long-term solution for the Saints.

Mickey Loomis said at the Combine, "I think if we were lucky enough to get him, I think he's a long-term solution. About as long as if you had a draft pick and hit on it right away, although you still got to re-sign them at some point."

Are you familiar with the salary cap? Are you familiar with the basics of how the NFL draft works.

They low key may be admitting it’s time to rebuild. Carr will be our bridge QB 2024-2025. If we suck bad enough we can get a top 5 pick next year and likely take Beck or Sanders.

I feel Like they’ll take one with one of the picks. Peterman was way cheaper to have than Jameis but they have to know hes not answer as a back up.

Better be a late rd pick otherwise this team has no interest in winning.

Yeah. This guy thinks we signed Carr to play him until he’s 40.

A draft pick hit on right away is 3-4 years.

We signed Carr at 32, meaning we intended to roll with Carr for 3-4 years.

However, I absolutely think we will be looking to the future at qb, in this draft, potential trades, or next ones etc.
